Wayne Kreml
Trombone Instructor
Wayne Kreml is a trombone and euphonium player from Columbus, Ohio. His experience includes multiple solo recitals, varying orchestral and wind-band ensembles, opera and musical pit orchestras, and chamber ensembles with multiple years each. He also has experience in varying styles of music-oriented mindfulness. Wayne is the instructor of trombone and euphonium at Waypoint Music Camps, having taught privately and built his own lesson studio for multiple years in the Columbus, Ohio area.
Wayne is currently pursuing a Masters in Trombone Performance from the Jacobs School of Music. He is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music with a Bachelors in Trombone Performance. At Jacobs, he was a finalist in the IU Innovation Competition, and at Eastman was a recipient of the Steve Witzer Award and Linda Muise Student Life Award. Wayne has performed with the Ballet Indiana Symphony Orchestra, Jacobs Symphony Orchestra, Jacobs Trombone Choir, Eastman Wind Ensemble, Eastman Philharmonia, and Eastman Trombone Choir. He is also a founding member of the Hydra Brass Quintet and Remington Trombone Quartet.Â
In addition to his musical achievement, Wayne is also an Eagle Scout from Grove City, Ohio. He has put on several large programs in past years including a largely-successful fundraiser for COPD research benefiting the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and the creation of Waypoint Music Camps.
